Adding Ore Varients


This is going to be a short Devlog as i only added the mining system and ore manager class to the game and added some variety to the ores.

Ore Panel

I Created the Ore panel to the game. My plan in this game is to make the challenge from the game come from a large amount of things to manage. I also changed the way that Ore storage works, you buy tanks from earth to increase your stock.

I decided to add in  the iron ore variant to the game. It looks rough at the moment (this is still very much a prototype), but I'm looking at how I can push certain ideas in the game to give it more breath and things to do.

Looking Forward

As always I'm always looking at two parts of a sprint: Refactoring/Tooling and then Content that uses that tooling
in my play testing I have found theres not really a lot of depth in the game, I have played it almost to death at this point so im worried that I'm not the best person to decide if my game is fun as being honest after about 100 hours of play, its getting realllly boring.

My Refactoring Task for next sprint is to change the ShipManager to be more scalable. My New content im going to work on next week is to add events that happen over the course of 10 years (This game has about an hour of play in it at the moment so that means one event a year).

The sprint after that I'm working to refactor the Story manager to allow for recurring events and for more dynamic gameplay. I also want to have a story campaign and hopefully stretch the game to last about 2-3 hours. my end goal is for the game to last for about 5 hours with replayability and paradigm shifts so having one story is a good start.
